Kairos: When the Holy Meets the Daily

A quiet companion for the in-between

Some books are meant to be read once and shelved. Others are meant to keep you company.

Kairos: When the Holy Meets the Daily is less a book you finish and more a book you live with—a quiet companion for the in-between places of your life.

You know those places: where the laundry piles up, the inbox won’t quit, and your heart aches quietly for more than the next load of dishes.

Inside Kairos you’ll find a psalm, a prayer-poem, and a pause. That’s it. No guilt, no checklists, no ten steps to anything. Just enough to help you take a breath and notice God’s presence—even in the ordinary, even when you’re not sure what you believe about Him these days.

If you’ve ever longed for a rhythm of prayer that feels honest and doable, if you’ve wished for words when you can’t name the ache you’re carrying, or if you simply need a reminder that your very ordinary Tuesday is held in sacred hands—Kairos is for you.

Pull it off the shelf in the morning before the world wakes up, or let it rest on your nightstand to meet you before sleep. Either way, my hope is that it will become a friend to your soul—gentle enough to walk with you, sturdy enough to lean on.

And if nothing else, it looks really good next to a mug of coffee. (I checked.)

Stories from the readers

I am not a poetry reader in general... but I found a kindred spirit in Denisa Nica. Her journey, pain, hope, and raw vulnerability are a gift, a breath of fresh air when so much of what we read is colored by an agenda or inauthenticity. In Nica’s poetry, I found a space where I could give language to my own experiences and struggle through some of my own questions.
Denisa is a psalmist, a true poet.
Her work in Kairos is an inspiration to the reader to be authentic and raw in our communication with God. It moves the reader to think “out of the box” in how we respond to God, His Son Jesus and the Holy Spirit. I highly recommend this read, take it walk in nature, allow the words to motivate you into dialogue with God. I highly recommend this creative piece of art!
